I am CEO of a abattoir in south Korea,am looking for facility/system/machine/unit which can clean contaminated water used in my abattoir at lower cost than underwater finding cost.

Daily 50~100 tonnes of more fresh water needed at the moment.

Currently my factory pumpes 500 Mt of underground water up everyday and also waste same volume of contaminated water-all of them are used for cleaning the outer surface of pig and cattle and includes animal blood etc.

I guess your system can purify/clean above mentioned contaminaed water (but primarilly purified by waste water treatment system at present processing line) coming out from my abattoir.

The quality of primarilly treated waste water is like following figure : COD/BOD 30~40 ppm SS 10~20 TN 40ppm TP 1.0 NHexane 0.1

Would you advise me that your system can resolve my factory insufficient water problem by your system?

Would you comment me first how much it costs if I order your system(100Mt/day-24 hour)

Considering the fact that millions of plastic water bottles are clogging our landfills daily I think this is a fantastic idea that should be implemented nationwide for all beverages in plastic containers. I see it as at least holding the non-recyclers accountable in some way for their actions or lack there of.

I second the observation made by Miles - I installed a dual-flush toilet 2 years ago and my household water usage dropped by about 20%. These are a very niche item everywhere but the dry western region. I would like to see the larger big box home improvement stores increase their inventory of these toilets nationwide. Imagine if even 1/2 the nations homes made this conversion!
Another niche item I would like to see more of is simple rain collection for lawn watering setups. I live in the midwest and we easily get enough total rainfall between spring and early fall that I could do all of my lawn watering if I could store some rain water this way. Because of the low demand the prices for barrels / cisterns is quite high, plus no company appears to put out a complete system (filters, cross-overs, sump pump, etc) that a homeowner could self-install.

We must stop the destrction of our water by shale gas well frac's.

Each well destroys 4 million gallons of water and there are over 1 million such wells planned

If this practice is not stopped they will detsroy 4 TRILLION gallons of drinking water forever.

I'm glad that you pointed out that the toilets should not be used as trash cans. Here is a tip to encourage people to place items like sanitary products, personal wipes, Q-tips, dental floss and condoms in the trash. You save water every time you don't flush these items and when flushed, they not only clog up the plumbing , but can damage machines in sewage treatment plants, and can escape the system during storms to pollute fresh water and litter beaches, where they endanger marine wildlife, who mistake it for their natural prey. Try using singe-use biodegradable bags to dispose of these items in the trash. They keep the bathroom sanitary and also save trees by providing and alternative to wrapping things in wads of toilet paper. Check out http://www.scensiblesource.com for a new product that solves the problem and for free samples.

I'll bet they're not selling half as many cases as they did before this new law.....but maybe that's a good thing. Personally, I won't buy the 24 pack any more, if I have to bring it back....but I did put the bottles into the recycle bin every single time when there was no deposit. This law isn't going to work, in my case....I just won't buy it any more.

This is very frustrating! The FRAC Act should have already been passed. It's a no brainer! Our water is the most important resource we have. To allow rich gas companies to trample on our rights as U.S. citizens and having Washington look the other way is making me sick! Are there not one person in Washington that cares for the people of this country and our wildlife and our waterways? They never should have allowed the Bush administration to get away with allowing their cronies to be exempt from the Clean Water and Clean Air Act. Washington is out of their stupid minds!!!!!

This is a great idea. I've read that states with bottle deposits get 80% of bottles returned...not a small amount when Americans drink billions of bottles of water each year.
